Our Business

Jenn's Barn opened their doors in May of 2005. The Tack Shack opened in March of 2012. Jennifer realized the need for a consignment shop in the area and The Tack Shack was born! 

The Tack Shack is over 525 square of retail space and additional 128 square feet in our mobile unit.

The Tack Shack travels to horse shows several times a year to set up shop! 

The Tack Shack has been to Martinganza, The Little River Circuit, Color on the Coast, Just Horsin Round Open Shows, and many EDCTSA shows.

The Tack Shack carries New and Used Tack and Clothing for Western, Hunt Seat, and Dressage. Jenn places orders with Shiloh Tack, Schneiders, and Mayatex regularly.

Who We Are

Jennifer Collins was the instructor at Jenn's Barn. She has been certified by the American Riding Instructor'sAssociation since 1989. She is certified for Level III (Beginner to Advanced) in both Hunt Seat and Stock Seat(Western). Jenn has over 40 years riding experience and 25 years teaching. She retired from teaching riding in December of 2014, and is looking forward to continue showing as an Amateur in 2018! Jenn has a full time postition as the Administrative Assistant at Swansboro Port Realty and is on the road with The Tack Shack most weekends! Her newest adventure is showing Ranch Riding with her 18 yr old Paint Gelding, Cowboysdiamondrocket, aka Diesel.  The Tack Shack could not function without the daily care provided to the horses by Jenn's mom, Donna Szeba and Jenn's best friend, Dawn.
